Text messages from Alex

Everything about our text messaging program: who gets texts, how you say yes, what we send, and how to stop at any time.

What this program is

When someone joins the Worship Ministry Training Academy, Alex texts them personally during their first couple of weeks. A welcome, a real question about their ministry, and a nudge or two so they actually get started instead of quietly drifting off.

That is the whole program. It is customer care for people who have already paid to join, sent by a person, not a broadcast list. You choose whether you want it during signup, and you can stop it with one word at any time.

How members opt in

Opt-in happens once, inside the Academy member signup at members.worshipministrytraining.com. It is the only way anyone joins this program. We never buy, rent, or upload phone number lists.

  1. Someone joins the Academy. They create an account and complete checkout. Signup is required to reach the onboarding questions, which is why this page exists: the flow itself sits behind the members login.
  2. They reach an optional phone number question. The field is clearly marked optional. Leaving it blank has no effect on their membership.
  3. They answer a separate consent question. Nothing is pre-selected. They must actively choose "Yes, text me" or "No thanks, email and in-app only" before continuing. Both answers complete signup and give identical access to everything they paid for.
  4. Only a "Yes" turns messaging on. If someone chooses "No thanks", or leaves the phone field blank, our system will not send them a text. We reach them by email and in the members app instead.

The exact wording members see

These are the two questions, word for word, as they appear during signup.

Question 1  ·  optional, private

Mobile Phone Number (optional)

Alex will text you personally during your first two weeks to welcome you and help you get your first win. Real person, real phone. Never spam, never a bot. Leave this blank if you'd rather not be texted, it won't affect your membership.

Question 2  ·  nothing pre-selected

Can Alex text you?

By choosing "Yes, text me" you agree to receive recurring text messages from Worship Ministry Training about your Academy onboarding: a welcome, a check-in, and a couple of nudges to help you get started. Message frequency varies, approximately 4 messages per month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not required to join or use the Academy. • Yes, text me
  • No thanks, email and in-app only

Neither option is selected by default. The member chooses one before they can continue.

Because the opt-in is behind the members login, here is what it looks like on screen.

Stopping the messages

Reply STOP to any message we send. That ends the program for your number immediately. You will get a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing after it.

Reply HELP for support information, or email support@worshipministrytraining.com and a real person will answer.

Opting out of texts does not cancel your membership and does not stop your account emails. If you want to cancel your membership, you can do that from your account page or by emailing support.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your privacy

We collect mobile phone numbers only when you give one to us directly. We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Numbers are shared only with the service providers who deliver the messages on our behalf, and those providers may not use them for anything else. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, and the messaging terms are in section 12 of our Terms of Service.
